Open Educational Resources
Using Quality Course Materials
WSU encourages the use of quality course materials that reduce costs for students, including adoption and adaptation of Open Educational Resources (OER).
In collaboration with WSU Libraries and Marketing and Communication, Academic Outreach and Innovation (AOI) is staffed to support development of OER.
AOI Instructional Designers assist with research of available materials and design of newly developed or adaptation of materials, while the AOI media team is prepared to assist in the creation of media objects that enhance learning.
WSU OER are published through Pressbooks with the assistance of a Marketing and Communications web designer.
OERs are more than just a text book replacement:
