Spring 2026 Learning Opportunities

AI Sessions

Join us for this three-part series designed for faculty across all disciplines to explore AI in education. You will learn to craft AI policies for your courses and assignments, create and redesign assignments for authenticity, and connect with colleagues implementing AI in their courses.

Workshop | 60 mins.

This 60-minute interactive workshop is designed to help faculty thoughtfully integrate AI into their teaching. In the first 30 minutes, we’ll guide you through writing course-specific AI statements and applying the GenAI Use Levels framework to your assignments. The second half is dedicated work time for you. Our team will be available to offer feedback and refine your ideas.

  • Thursday, January 8, 11:00 a.m.

Interactive Workshop | 60 mins.

This workshop explores practical strategies for creating assignments and assessments that achieve learning objectives while acknowledging the reality of AI. You will learn to design meaningful assignments and assess learning authentically when AI tools are readily available. You will leave with concrete ideas for adapting your assignments and assessments for today’s students.

Interactive Workshop | 50 mins.

Many new college students are unequipped with the study skills they need, and faculty play an integral role in helping students discover and implement strategies for success. Metacognition—”thinking about thinking”—can help students develop their learning skills. While some students may hear about metacognitive strategies in orientation or tutoring sessions, they often don’t apply those skills in their other classes. This session will show how faculty can embed some simple metacognitive strategies into their courses to help students become more self-aware learners, which will make them more likely to finish college successfully and develop lifelong learning habits.

  • Tuesday, March 10 at 2:00pm
  • Wednesday, March 11, 2:00 p.m.
