Mersive Solstice

Mersive Solstice software allows users to wirelessly share content to the classroom system. The following rooms have Mersive Solstice installed.

In order to utilize Mersive Solstice, please follow the steps outlined below.

NOTE:

Admin rights may be required for University issued devices.
Your device must be connected to the WSU Wireless network.
Sharing content through Mersive Solstice does not transfer files between devices.

Download the Mersive Solstice Application on Your Device

On your device, navigate to the Solstice Download Center and download the application for your operating system.

Once downloaded, you will need to configure your settings within the Mersive Solstice application.

Ensure that your device is connected to the WSU Wireless network.
Open the application on your device and navigate to the Settings.
1. If you haven’t already, enter your display name.
2. Enter sds.aoi.wsu.edu as the Solstice Discovery Service Address.

Once you have configured Mersive Solstice on your device, follow the steps below to connect to the classroom system and present your content.

Open the Mersive Solstice application on your device and the classroom computer.
1. Launching Mersive Solstice on the classroom computer will open a window with the classroom computer’s Display Name and Key.
On your device, you will be presented with a list of Solstice displays near you.
1. Select the name of the display that you are connecting to.
2. When prompted, enter the screen key that is displayed on the classroom computer.
Once connected to the classroom system, you can share content from your device.
- Laptops will have the option to share your entire desktop, a single application, or a media file.
- Mobile devices will have the option to mirror screen, share a media file, or use the camera to take a photo or video. Note: Screen mirroring may not be available on all iOS devices.
To stop sharing content, close the Mersive Solstice application on your device.
